- Give a short explanation as to your understanding of the target audience given in your chosen brief
3) Target audience
The media industry is highly competitive and all media texts are created with a target audience in mind.
If there isn’t an audience for a media text then it won’t be successful either in getting its message across or, if it is a commercial or a media text, it makes money for the producers.
Media producers use audience research and analysis to find out as much as possible about their target audience and use that research to ensure their production will appeal to them.
1) Audience are generally split into 3 main categories: social tes,and demographic audiences. Audiences are categorized in order to help target them for particular films and media, this is done by getting the profile of your targeted audiences through demographics and psycho graphics.
2) Different companies are set up to carry out audience research for the media producers , broadcasters and advertisers. These companies carry out the research through surveys, Questioners, interviews and focus groups. Producers spend a lot of money and time finding out the audience of programmers or media products.

Key Information
I chose Harry because he is very versatile with sports so
he can appeal to different audiences. Furthermore, I chose Harry because he
has experience in football which is my main topic in my magazine. Also, he
has a decent amount of followers on Instagram so I could advertise my
magazine using his account. Also, most of his followers are in their youth so
they could be more interested than adults would be. However, Harry could
become unsuitable as he is busy on some days so it could be difficult to arrange
a date to shoot.
