Statement Of Intent

My magazine is for ages 10-13 that are interested in football and the history of it. It will include the 2012 Champions League Final, which was Chelsea Football Club VS Bayern Munich. The magazine is aimed more towards Chelsea fans, as it is mostly about Chelsea. Elder Chelsea fans know this game very well, so that is why it is aimed at ten to thirteen-year olds Furthermore, my target audience can also be other footballing fans who have experienced their team play in a cup final, as they can relate to what happened. My magazine will be called 'That Night in Munich.' My title is called this as it represents that Chelsea won the Champions League final in their opponent’s home ground, when they played Bayern Munich in 2012. My front cover will consist of 3 original images while, I will have 2 original images on the next page.

I will have the most writing on my first double page spread, as I will be talking about the main parts on that page. The main image on my double page spread will be the Chelsea team lifting the trophy with the other players. This is because it shows different emotions, such as tears of joy from the staff, to the players, to the manager! I will use a long shot for my photo of the squad because I can fit in more people than I could if I done a close-up shot. Also, I am going to use a different range of camera shots and techniques so they aren’t all similar, as the reader/viewer could lose interest. I will use intertextuality in my magazine as I can refer to other media texts or types. I will have 3 original images on my front cover.  My whole magazine will contain 5 original images and 4 other images. My magazine will be £4.99.
